All three of these pistols are repoductions. The top one is a .45 caliber Colt. It's a copy of the pistol given to Wyatt Earp when he left Dodge City. The citizens was so thankful to him that they presented him with this pistol complete with a marker on the hand grip that read, "To Wyatt Earp, Peacemaker, From the Gratful People of Dodge City, April, 1878. The center gun is a copy of the .45 caliber Colt that was used by John Wayne is most of his films. The lower gun, called the Pepperbox, is a copy of the 6-barrel rotating cap and ball revolver used during the Civil War period.

Battle Axe & Mace ~

This battle axe and spiked ball is original and around 400 to 450 years old. I replaced the wooden handles because the originals rotted away. The axe has several very small gouges in the blade. I don't know if someone in history used it for chopping wood or if the gouges were made in battle. They are heavy pieces and really cool. Back in the late 1970s I had a friend in the exotic antiques business who traveled three time a year to Mexico and once a year to England. He always gave me a good price on things that I wanted. I even bought a suit of armour from him but I sold it in the 1990s when someone gave me a price I couldn't say no to.

Funeral Items ~

I have always enjoyed collecting the weird and differant antiques. When I was a lot younger, I worked in several funeral homes around town and always had an interest in the funeral business of the 1800s and early 1900s. In 1968 I was able to buy an antique coffin at an antique shop in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. It was the adult size coffin below. It cost me $35.00. When I was in the Army in 1972, I visited the friend of a friend and saw that he was using the junior sized coffin for a coffee table. I offered him $25.00 for it and he sold it to me. That was in a small town in New Jersey. The infant coffin I bought at a funeral display at a county fair in Pennylvania in 1969 for $40.00. I have one more baby size coffin upstairs in my garage. I plan to bring it in soon. I'm setting up an antique funeral display in a room in the basement because...well, you never expect to see these things when you visit someone.
